A new quality program ...

We recently instituted a new quality assurance system specially designed for the food industry, namely the Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) system.

This means re-organising the production process to mimise risk by perfecting control at certain critical points. This system operates on the principle of the orderly progression of products along the line and by keeping certain areas isolated in order to prevent cross-contamination.

In a context of food industry regulation, the HACCP system guarantees the customer maximum product purity (improved hygiene) coupled with better ingredient traceability.

… and a pharmaceutical-grade Quality Control Laboratory.

Our Test Laboratory, a valued partner of the Group, combines rigour with experience (with 15 years of experience in phytotherapy). All testing-related operations on both raw materials and finished products are carried out in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices.

Our team's special skills and our state of the art equipment and methods (HPLC, UV spectrophotometry, GC/MS, GPC, etc.) mean that we can conduct all the tests necessary, including:

  • physical and chemical properties, assays for possible contaminants (pesticides in raw materials, aflatoxin, heavy metals, ochratoxin and benzopyrenes)

  • testing according to the relevant Monographs at all stages of processing (purchased material, powder form, blend and finished product, e.g. capsules) as well as bacteriological analysis, tampering investigations, etc.
